Dear Club Friends,
It is with great pride that we invite all snowmobile enthusiasts to participate in the new edition of the Harricana international snowmobile race that is to take place from February 23 to March 2, 2002.
You need only recall the three first editions of the Harricana rally to remember that the challenge of driving across the Canadian Far North in a snowmobile in these conditions is a unique sporting experience. It is an event that puts competitors into an absolutely original contest in an unforgettable and grandiose circuit.
Comme and test your talents and your strengths against racers from the United States, Europe, Japan and Canada, on a course longer than 2000 kilometres through lands belonging to a number of Amerindian Nations while admiring the picturesque Québec scenery.
As in the past, the teams will be made up of three pilots, three snowmobiles and a sled. Logistics and safety will be given the same professional attention that ensured the event’s reputation. The enthusiasm of the organizing team for this new adventure is matched by the excitement of the public which has already shown its fervour during the reconnaissance portion of the event this year.
With the confirmed support of the Canadian and Québec governments, and the energetic drive of our partners, we fully expect that Harricana will regain its position as a unique international event kindling general excitement and attracting the attention of TV networks and other media throughout the world.
In addition to this informative document, you are invited to consult the Harricana Web site http://www.harricana.com which is now in operation. We also remind you that we will be pleased to send this information without delay to all those you may refer to us as interested in the event.
Hoping to hear from you and to have the pleasure of counting you among us, we extend our best wishes.
René Metge and Team Canada
